While our store remains closed to the public, we have changed our operations to continue to serve low-income Arlington families. Clients are able to complete an on-line form with sizes and style/color preferences for their children. We then work in the store to fill their order as much as possible. Clients then pick up their clothes in a contactless manner just outside the store. Since starting this service in late May, we have delivered over 200 wardrobes of summer clothes to kids.
We have likewise changed our donation procedures. As we currently do not allow volunteers in the store, there are only two of us working on behalf of families. Accordingly, we cannot accept unsorted clothing donations, only Home Service Projects. Donations must be clean, free of defects, and then packaged by size, season and gender. Please label each Home Service Project accordingly to help us know what donations we have. Visit our Donate Clothing page for more information and drop-off days. Thank you for your work at home to help us serve Arlington’s kids.
